Midnight Flight (Jelsa)

"Do you trust me?"

Elsa hesitated as Jack reached towards her and she eyes his outstretched hand.  She was sick of the palace and her duties, cooped up inside virtually twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.  Would a midnight fly be that bad?  

She'd always watched the Winter Spirit soar through the sky on his own and she'd often long for the ability to fly.  Be free...feel the wind whipping your hair...

Without a second thought, she grabbed his hand and with a smile, Jack hauled her on top of his staff.  Off they went, higher and higher.  Elsa buried her face into Jack's back as Arendelle shrunk beneath her feet.  Struggling to maintain her composure in a nightgown, she attempted to ignore her thoughts of the sensation of free falling.  

Squeezing her eyes shut, she dug her nails into Jack's jumper and buried her face even further into his back.  Her breathing and heart rate had increased.  Why hadn't she thought about this more earlier?  Her and her stupid rash decisions...chasing after her own dreams...

Then, they weren't going any higher.  They just, stopped.

Elsa could still feel the sensation of being high above ground but she refused to even think about how far below Arendelle was.  Then Jack breathed her name and she wrapped her arms around torso.  He breathed her name again in the calm and reassuring tone that he always used with her.  

"There's something I want you to see."

Slowly, Elsa put her hands on his shoulders and tentatively removed her face from his back.  Letting out a small gasp, she stared at the tiny glowing stars that surrounded her and the clouds that were inches below her feet.  She wanted to so badly jump off the staff and bury her toes into the clouds and feel how soft they were but she knew the idea would be ridiculous.  Stretching her neck, she looked around even more, the moonlight reflecting off her face.

It was times like these when nothing else mattered.  It was what made living worthwhile.

Yay!  Another edit done - I've scrapped many ideas and this suddenly popped into my head after seeing a few video edits on Youtube.  Hope you like this one...
